Our Supporters

Every year we receive incredible help on the day of the event from local organisations and clubs.

Wensum Ospreys Canoe Club

Based in Fakenham, they offer canoeing and kayaking to all ages and abilities. They provide a safe, fun and friendly environment in which to learn and have equipment anyone can use and qualified instructors to help you get to grips with the fundamental skills. The club is also great for meeting like minded people. They organise river trips and occasionally special 'come and try it' sessions for newcomers.

Norfolk & Suffolk 4 x 4 Rescue

Norfolk & Suffolk 4x4 Response are a group of organised and resourceful volunteers who own four wheel drive vehicles and support the Emergency Services, NHS, Local Authorities, charities and other voluntary organisations in severe weather, or when people with capable vehicles are needed.

Norfolk Lowland Search & Rescue

Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue (NorLSAR) are members of the national Association of Lowland Search and Rescue, and our primary objectives are to assist Norfolk Police search for missing vulnerable people using highly trained and committed volunteers, and our land and water based search equipment. We also have a water and flood rescue team working closely with Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, the Broads Authority, and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.

RNLI

RNLI crews and lifeguards have saved over 142,200 lives since 1824 but they’re more than a rescue service. They influence, supervise and educate people too. There are over 350 lifeboats in the RNLI fleet based at their stations around the UK and they cover 19,000 miles of coastline and some busy inland stretches of water.

A True Superhero!

Take a look at this video made by Peter Naylor, one of Hunstanton’s lifeboat men about Alex Ellis-Roswell  who set out from Kent to walk 9,500 miles around the British and Irish coastlines to pay tribute to his late father and raise money for the RNLI.
